5 Bathroom Products We Loved from our Visit to Kohler in Chicago
With the Kitchen and bath market trending towards well-being and respite from the outside world, fitting kitchen and bath spaces with tools engineered to make your home experience more enjoyable is well worth the investment. Kohler is one brand of Kitchen and bath products that never ceases to amaze with innovative fixtures and intuitive design since 1873.
While visiting their showroom and taking a tour with their team, we went through some exciting items. Here are 5 things we found in their Chicago Loop showroom that is sure to amaze and inspire.
1. Statement Collection – “Shaping the Ultimate Shower Experience”

This collection emphasizes an immersive experience with fixtures that will blend into any bath space with its soft, approachable design. The biggest thing that stuck out to us with this collection is the various spray experiences this collection offers its users. They have completely re-thought the user experience by designing an oblong-shaped showerhead that offers more coverage than a round showerhead. “The human body from a top view is seemingly oval, so Kohler is taking that into consideration with this design” explained the showroom manager.
With this collection, you also have the choice of what kind of experience you are looking to have – massage, rinse, or even a restorative experience. Their multifunctioning rain head provides full rinsing coverage and a deep massage and cloud feature options. The cloud feature emits super refined droplets that are said to create a gentle luxurious feeling like a “warm embrace”
2. Anthem Collection – Digital and Analog shower controls

The controls from the Anthem collection are as high-tech and stylish as it gets. You’ll have your choice of a digital control or a retro-inspired dial panel that will remind you of a vintage stereo receiver. These replace your typical thermostatic and diverter valve trims with a more streamlined look. This collection also allows for better command over your shower experience including maintaining a consistent flow of water and improved temperature control. The digital screen has a similar interface to a smartphone (sans camera, at least for now) with temperature and showerhead control features.
3. The Occasion Collection
This collection has an emphasis on old world glamour and luxury. With details like fluted glass and subtle flared metal it is sure to make you feel like a Hollywood star. The best thing about this collection is it allows you to mix finishes in a way never seen before including one of our favorites – matte black and modern brass.
There are a range of choices here: three faucet handles and two spout designs. The collection also offers wall, deck and floor mounted tub fillers. Any shower configuration is available within this collection. With the Occasion collection, Kohler has expanded their repertoire into elegant light fixtures with sculpted glass reminiscent of a 1960’s.
4. Ombré finishes – Components and Sensate Collections
Borrowing from the baking and cosmetic industry, Kohler has created an extra durable material finish that melds together two colors into one in a gradient. With this innovation, Kohler, well known for their finishes, has created yet another that turns your faucet into a bold and daring statement. Two options are available: Vibrant Titanium to Vibrant Rose Gold and Vibrant Rose Gold to Vibrant Polished Nickel.

5. Roburn, Uplift Collection
Roburn, a Kohler company, has some impressive innovations when it comes to integrating storage and technology. With a vertical opening mechanism and touchscreen controls Uplift lends itself to being once of the sleekest medicine cabinets available on the market.
Its controls can adjust the LED lighting to a wide range of color temperatures from very warm 3000K to a cooler 5600K. This allows the user to accurately apply cosmetics in the warm glow or wake up energized with a cool tone light. You can also program the lighting to turn on/off in 12-hour intervals to provide a night light. Uplift also includes a timed defogger.
The line also features integrated electrical outlets and USB charging ports for all of your electronics. Finishes for this cabinet come in Matte Black, Chrome, Polished Nickel and Aluminum.
